How to make Bacon Wrapped Asparagus in the Oven
- Preheat oven to 400° F and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil for easy clean up.
- After your asparagus is washed and trimmed, brush with a little olive oil, and then season to your liking. I use black pepper, garlic powder, and just a smidge of salt as the bacon is already loaded with it.
- Cut the bacon strips in half length-wise, and then wrap the strips around each asparagus spear as tightly as possible.
- Place them on your prepared sheet pan and cook in the middle rack for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender. If you like your bacon extra crispy, turn the broiler on for the last few minutes of cooking.
Notes
- The thinner the bacon you use, the crispier it will become.
- If your asparagus is thin, you can wrap 2-3 spears together in a single slice of bacon.
- If you end up with any leftovers, reheat them in an air fryer set to 390° for about 3 minutes. Enjoy them as is, or you could even chop them up and toss into a breakfast scramble or mix with pasta.
